OCCUPATIONAL
PROJECTIONS TO THE YEAR 2016
The
Occupational Projections reports attempt to project employment in various
jobs by the
year 2016 for Indiana economic regions 1 and 2.
Region 1 contains Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper Newton, Starke, and Pulaski
Counties
Region 2 contains St. Joseph, Elkhart, Marshall, Kosciusko Counties, and
Fulton County.
Fulton County has been added to Region 2 in this latest projections file.
Projecting the future of specific jobs can be a very tricky activity often
yielding very
unreliable results. Caution should be taken when using these data as
a basis for important
decisions. It is recommended that the data not be used as a sole
source for estimating
the future of these occupations but should be used in combination with
several other
indicators of future employment and economic conditions.
Since these reports are so large they are only available for downloading
and are only in MS Excel format. Approx. file size 2 megabytes.
Files are for download. To download right click on the link and select
"Save Target As..",
choose a location to save to and click "Save" OR left click the
link and choose "Save."
Some computers will display the reports if MS Excel is installed.
